WINNERS

First place:

Problem: Despite the potential for youth impact, Blagoevgrad lacks an active volunteering presence due to fragmented efforts and a lack of awareness among students and schools.

Solution: Establishing a sustainable volunteering ecosystem through a three-month campaign that simplifies the Heroes Cup for teachers and gamifies the experience for students.

Second place:

Problem: Women aged 30-55 in underserved communities face a cycle of limited economic independence due to restricted educational access, low self-confidence, and a lack of market-ready English and employability skills.

Solution: Designing an accessible, low-cost 3-6 month training program that utilizes community spaces and digital tools to provide practical language education and life-skills coaching on a modest budget.

Third place:

Problem: Youth transitioning out of institutional care face high risks and instability due to a critical lack of practical life skills, personal accountability, and a consistent support system.

Solution: Designing a simple, multi-site pilot program that utilizes limited resources and a small volunteer base to deliver a 3-6 month curriculum focused on essential independence skills and long-term stability for ages 13-21.
